Issuer
Public agencies, educational institutions, certification bodies, or private organisations. The issuer is the authorised source that holds the original data. They create the digital credential (for example, a driver's licence, vocational certificate, or credit assessment), cryptographically sign it so it cannot be altered, and deliver it to the user's wallet.

Wallet Holder
The end user – whether an individual, an employee, or an entire organisation (business wallet). The wallet holder has full control over their own data and credentials. They decide who to share information with and can approve the sharing of specific credentials without revealing other irrelevant personal information.

Verifier
The organisation that needs to verify the information (for example, an accountant verifying a company registration certificate or a hospital checking a doctor's licence). The verifier receives the digital credential from the holder and performs an automated check against the infrastructure. Within seconds, the system confirms that the issuer is trusted, the credential has not been tampered with, and it is still valid.
